Posted on Tue Apr 30th, 2013 @ 12:34am by Captain Salim Al-Qadir in Sim Announcement

Hello!

Well it's certainly been a long and winding road. We're extremely close to the conclusion of Happy Retirement and we'll beginning our next mission soon!

What we have planned is a mission called Malfunction. Drea (Marcia) and Mina (Vanah) and I have been discussing this one intently. Most of the particulars come from Mina, however. She did quite a job coming up with a backstory.

The LG is sent to investigate a strange transmission coming from one of Starfleet's subspace comm relays primarily used for starships investigating the outer edge of known space. Upon investigation, they discover a probe of some sort has collided with the the relay and a series of events unfold which places the life of a crew member in grave danger!

Really looking forward to this one!

Folks, I'm retiring Frosty & Deidre, maybe permanently. I truly had a blast writing them, really. They were some of my more successful creations, imho.

I will not be joining any other simms at this time. Without a job, with long travel plans, and with other RL issues looming, I find myself with more to do and less time to do it than ever.

I hope that Leyte does get rolling again. This simm is one of the most talented groups of Trek writers that I've encountered. On top of that, TOS era is near and dear to my heart.

And so with good will and best hopes, I bid you all Godspeed.
Please deactivate the Frosty & Jezebel profiles. Thank you for the time that you've shared with me.

Phillip

Again, I find myself having to apologize for both myself and Gabby's recent lack of activity it seems I proclaimed our pending return to normalcy just a wee bit soon. As my cousin was supposed to be released on Monday his nurse says "Oh, yeah, we just found out you have MRSA" which for those who may not know is a very nasty staph bacteria. They tell him this as he's being released as he's holding his daughter in his arms, so, guess what? BINGO! She tested positive for MRSA and has spent the last 6 days in the hospital. The doctors think they have it cleared up and Gabby will be returning home with her tomorrow or Tuesday at latest, she's slept there every night since they put Sascha in the hospital and I've been being there as much as I can while being nurse and substitute mommy here, two things I royally suck at! However, I'm back, so we can push things forward and get to the exciting conclusion!

Thanks for your patience!

Andrea, thanks for letting us know. Take what time you need.

Pauses in simming remind me how spoiled I am in this day and age. Not everything resolves instantaneously.

One of my most 'traumatic' ;) moments in life happened in the 60's. I had never experienced it before. I'm pretty sure we were watching 'Lost in Space'. And, I think it was Major West who just got cast adrift in his space suit when those shocking words flashed across the screen, "To Be Continued." Talk... about... sheer horror! I had to wait a whole WEEK to find out what happened!

;)

Unfortunately due to a severe illness in the family myself and Gabby (Lorena Gomez) haven't been able to do anything much in the lines of posting or, well, anything else. My cousin, Phillip, who is also Gabby's husband has been hospitalized for approximately two weeks now and we've been spending most of our time there or here caring for their 3 children and our menagerie of animals. The good news is this: Phillip comes home on Monday and life for us will return to (ab)normal.

Thanks for your patience!

"Okay ladies", Estelle said as she walked into sickbay. "We're expecting some wounded here in the near future. Let's get everything else out of the way and emergency supplies ready."

She pointed at three nurses in turn. "You, you and you, go to the transporter room and prepare for triage."…

"All right, people, we've got to go rescue our shipmates." Marcia said, "I wish I could go down with you but I'm pretty sure the doctor's still stuck on 'no' on that one. Yumiko, you're going to lead the team. We've got to figure out some way to punch through…

Mission: Happy Retirement?
Posted on Tue Apr 9th, 2013 @ 1:59am by Lieutenant Vanah & Captain Salim Al-Qadir & Lieutenant Commander Marcia King & Petty Officer, 1st Class Lorena Gomez & Chief Petty Officer Thomas Henriksen Sr.

There was little enemy activity since the captain had ordered Tommy and Vanah to fix their communicators. Most likely the separatists had a jamming system in their employ. The lack in enemy activity might be a result of having several Starfleet officers beaming down and assisting the Kellosian government.

After a very harrowing experience on the landing party, Vanah was so tired she just went to her room and crashed on the bed without changing out of her uniform. She didn't care that she looked like she just beamed out of a war zone. Within a two minutes of…

Mission: Happy Retirement?
Posted on Thu Mar 14th, 2013 @ 5:26pm by Lieutenant Estelle Hertz & Lieutenant Vanah & Petty Officer, 2nd Class Errol Cassidy

The doors to sickbay swooshed open, and Vanah walked in on the arm of the ugly but oddly charming Petty Officer Cassidy. Their wardrobe was quite an odd selection; he wore his full dress uniform and she wore a thin green dress that wrapped around her body leaving fashionable strips…

The Captain is on Kellos II right now. He beamed down with Lt. Vanah, Chief Henriksen, and Detective Gomez to speak to the new Ambassador, Kelsik, about the disappearance of former Ambassador Elias Paulson. To say that I'm not expecting good things from this is saying the least, Mr. Kelsik…

The Ambassador is missing. He's missing and there's nowhere he could've gone. It is like he literally just vanished into thin air.

That doesn't happen.

We've had an ongoing search in every section of the ship conducted by all available personnel. I even had some of Estelle's nurses out beating…
